Can I receive Shopify or Stripe payouts into my Elephants account?
Yes. Once your business is verified, you can open Multi-Currency Virtual Accounts in USD, EUR, GBP, HKD and SGD, each with its own account details in your business name. Add the details for the matching currency as your payout account in Shopify, Stripe or your marketplace, and your revenue lands in that currency balance, ready to hold, convert or pay out. Each platform sets its own rules on which payout accounts it accepts, so it’s worth checking its requirements for your country. Availability depends on where your business is registered and what it sells, and we’re currently unable to onboard US LLCs.
Which currencies can my e-commerce business receive and hold?
You can receive and hold USD, EUR, GBP, HKD and SGD, each in its own balance, alongside USDC and USDT. Depending on eligibility, you’ll get local account details, SWIFT details, or both for each currency.
How can I reduce currency conversion fees on marketplace payouts?
Keep your money in the currency it arrives in. When a USD payout lands in your USD balance, it stays in USD until you decide otherwise, so you can pay suppliers or cover costs in that currency without converting first. When you do want to convert, switch between balances from your Home screen and see the rate before you confirm. A fee based on your plan applies to incoming payments and shows as its own line item, so you always know where you stand.
Can I pay overseas suppliers and advertising expenses from the same account?
Yes. Pay overseas suppliers in 100+ currencies through SWIFT, SEPA and local rails, choosing which currency balance to pay from. For ad platforms, subscriptions and everyday spend, issue virtual cards to your team instantly and set a limit on each one. Revenue in, suppliers paid and ad spend covered, all from one account.
Can Elephants process credit card payments on my online store?
No. Elephants doesn’t currently offer card acquiring or an online checkout. Keep using your existing checkout or payment processor, and use Elephants to receive your payouts, hold multiple currencies, convert and pay internationally.
How long does account opening take?
You can request your Multi-Currency Virtual Accounts as soon as your business verification is submitted. Once it’s approved, accounts usually open within one to two days. Local and SWIFT details for the same currency can open at slightly different times, depending on the partner behind each one.
