Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an international transfer take with Elephants?
Transfer times depend on the route. Supported payment corridors can settle the same day, while major corridors typically clear within about one day. International SWIFT transfers can take 3–5 business days on more complex routes. Weekends and public holidays at the receiving end may affect timing.
Can I send bulk payments to multiple countries at once?
Yes. You can send USDC or USDT in bulk to other registered Elephants accounts, with settlement available 24/7. This service is for bulk payment transfers and does not apply to payroll or employer-of-record services. Customers are responsible for their own employment and tax obligations.
Do I need a local bank account to send or receive money internationally?
No. Eligible businesses can use Elephants USD virtual accounts on SWIFT and ACH without a local presence. KYB and proof-of-address verification are required. EUR named accounts are available on request for businesses. US-based entities are currently not supported.
Can I pay overseas contractors in USDC or USDT?
Yes. You can send USDC or USDT to recipients with an Elephants account. Add stablecoin into your wallet and send it directly to the recipient without conversion. Money withdrawal fees start from 0.1% on eligible plans. See pricing details here.
Which currencies can I send to?
Elephants supports more than 100 currencies through local payment rails and SWIFT international transfers. Your wallet can hold and receive USD, USDC, and USDT.
Is Elephants a licensed money transfer platform?
Yes. Elephants Inc. is powered by Elephants Growth Tech Ltd, a Money Services Business with FINTRAC (MSB No. C10001690) and a Payment Service Provider with the Bank of Canada under the Retail Payment Activities Act. Elephants is a payments platform, not a bank, and not insured.
